Wrenmoor Heath

Project Overview

Wrenmoor Heath is a golf club website built around the question every visitor asks first: can I play, and when? A live tee sheet, a hole-by-hole yardage guide and clear membership fees replace the usual brochure.

The Brief

A private heathland club wanted a website that works as hard as its starter. Visitors need to see weekday availability and green fees at once, prospective members need honest subscriptions and a joining process, and the course itself had to be shown properly rather than as a gallery of stock fairways.

The Approach

We built the site around the round itself. A full-width hero puts the golfer and the club name together, the homepage carries a working tee sheet, every hole has its own aerial with yardages drawn over it, and membership fees are set out as a simple table. Type is tall and compact, in forest green with one lime accent.

The Outcome

The site now answers the practical questions in the order golfers ask them: a tee time for a guest, the fees, what the course plays like hole by hole, how to join, and where to lunch afterwards. The course, visitors, membership, academy and clubhouse each have a clear page of their own.

About the Project

Wrenmoor Heath is a complete website for a private heathland golf club, designed to make a first visit and a first membership enquiry simple. It focuses on availability, honest fees and a proper picture of the course, with booking as the main action on every page.

The site includes Home, the Course with a hole-by-hole guide and scorecard, Visitors with weekday tee-time booking and green fees, Membership with subscriptions and the joining process, the Academy with coaching and lesson prices, the Clubhouse with menus and private dining, and Contact with directions, plus Privacy and Terms pages.

The visual direction is bright and bold: white pages, forest green and a single lime accent, set in Sofia Sans Extra Condensed capitals. The hero sets the club name behind the tree line with the golfer in front of it, every hole has an aerial with its yardages and hazards drawn over it, and square-edged panels replace shadows and rounded pills.

Built as a fast static site in Astro with plain TypeScript, Wrenmoor Heath loads quickly on a phone at the first tee, keeps motion to quiet reveals and respects reduced-motion settings. The tee-time, application and enquiry forms are built in.
